It seems very strange to be writing this now at the end of October when we moved at the beginning of August and I was ordained as a deacon on the 6th of September (photo is me on the big day).

So my humblest apologies to this little ‘ol blog for not exactly being current in my provision of news and information but hopefully this is better late, than never.

The Green family (all five of us now with Josiah in tow as well) left Cambridge in early August and moved to the outskirts of Chatham so that I could start work in my new church, St Philip & St James‘. As I said earlier I was ordained on the 6th of September and have been working as the curate there ever since.

We are very pleased to announce that Kerry has given birth to a little baby boy, Josiah Trevor Raymond Green, who was born on the 22nd of May 2008 at 05:27 weighing 7 lb 14 oz.

Just two days late, Josiah had a pretty swift birth and everything was just fine. Both Kerry and ‘Jed’ (as Dave at least will nickname him) are doing fantastically well.

For those interested in the choice of name. Josiah is a Hebrew name that literally means ‘God supports’ or ’supported by God’. Trevor and Raymond are in honour of Josiah’s grandads who mean a great deal to all of us in our family.

We are both very pleased and really excited about becoming parents for the third time and your thoughts and prayers for all five of us are very much appreciated. Thank you also to all those who have sent texts and emails - we really appreciate the thoughts and the sentiments!

We are pleased to announce that Kerry is pregnant once again with our third child. So far everything is going well and both mum and baby seem to be doing well. The first scan was taken a week or so ago and we’re very pleased to publish this pic here on this site.

It’s obviously been difficult in the last few weeks, with Dave being sick (still) and unable to do as much as usual so Kerry’s been carrying a heavy load as she went through the first trimester whilst managing Bethya, Nathanael and Dave! Still, everyone is fine and doing well and we’re looking forward to the arrival of baby number three. Baby three is due towards the end of May.

Happy Birthday today on the 21st September to Nathanael who celebrates his first birthday today! Happy Birthday also to Kerry who celebrated her birthday yesterday.

With Nathanael just over a month old now, the camera has been in overdrive taking photos of everyone and everything. As I sat and downloaded them all tonight, I thought I’d share some of the best ones with you all! The photos are available here.
