The blog begins

I can resist the urge no longer. Having watched at a minor distance while colleagues from work have begun blogs to comment on the Church of England and wider Anglican Communion and seen friends, both old and new, use blogs to keep the world up-to-date with their news, the time has come for the Greens to enter this brave new world.

Obviously, I’ve never been shy when it comes to the early adoption of technology but I hardly think I am that an early adopter on this one. Mind you, I guess the day it becomes mainstream is the day my dad starts doing it.

In one sense, nothing changes. Our website remains our website and we’ll put up the annual newsletters and the occasional photos as we did before. I guess the thing is now that with Bethya having arrived and literally changing day by day, an annual newsletter just misses out on far too much. It needs something more instant, more diary like to be able to post stuff on the fly.

I’ve gone back and pushed all our old website content into this new system which is why it might seem strange that this particular entry is preceded by an apparent three years worth of news! Now you know why.

So, here comes the blog! Hold onto your hats… just hope we can keep it up.
